The Digital Music Lab is an AHRC project that researches and developes an infrastructure – both in methodology as in a technical framework – for musicological research on large datasets. It furthermore provides researchers and users with datasets and computational tools to analyse music audio, scores and metadata.
The £560k project (AH/L01016X/1) is being carried out collaboratively between City University London, Queen Mary University of London, University College London, and the British Library.
The visual interface provides access to datasets at the British Library, I Like Music, the CHARM collection and the Mazurka dataset
The back-end of the DML system contains a powerful information and results management system based on Cliopatria which is accessible here.
For further information, publications and other outputs of the project have a look at the project website.
